I attended New Cross Hospital today for a fasting blood test.
I was led to believe that I needed to go to C38 but on arrival at that department I was information that I needed to go to A27, which is at the other end of the hospital.
I arrived at A27 at 8:15 to find the doors locked
Myself and others waited outside in the cold until 8.30 when someone unlocked the door.
Surely, like at other hospitals, it would be possible for patients to be allowed to wait inside ?!
I was called in to have my blood taken.
the phlebotomist said hello and proceeded to take my blood.
I was not asked my name, DOB or whether I had fasted.
Routine checks normally carried out.
