"Always greeted with a smile"

As a young child I was diagnosed with chronic Asthma, which means I have been treated by many surgeries and Doctors ever since. Out of all the doctors that have treated me in this time, 3 of the doctors have been exceptional, my current GP at The Market Square Surgery is one of those 3.

I am always greeted with a smile, shown and welcomed personally into the examination room where there is often light hearted banter which leads to a relaxed and friendly consultation.

While being jovial this does not in anyway impair the quality of the consultation, all of my problems and symptoms are discussed in full and my condition is thouroughly reviewed while treatments are recommended or alternatives suggested.

In addition to the standards of care I recieve from the GP, there are also practice nurses which specialise in specific areas of care, I see the asthma clinic nurse annually where I recieve a detailed examination covering Blood pressure, lung volume and spirometry tests.

There is also a diabetic clinic which checks to ensure there is no escallation with the condition, preventing potential life threatening symptoms going unnoticed, or untreated.
