What I liked

I was extremely impressed with the care and attention of all of the staff, nurses and the medical team. I was also pleased with the cleanliness that the cleaners maintained. I later moved to the stroke ward where I was even more impressed with all of the nursing and medical services but also with the cleaning standards and the general ambience of the ward and surroundings. I even enjoyed the food, albeit my stay was relatively short. Throughout my stay I felt that not only did the hospital have very high standards, but that the medical care and dignity that I was treated to were of the highest standard. At all times I was fully informed of my diagnosis and prognosis. I was also impressed with the range of specialists that were immediately provided to me on Ward 8, such as speech therapist, occupational therapist and physiotherapist.

What could be improved

I have to say that my comments about the hospital staff apply equally to the paramedic and ambulance team that treated me beforehand.
