What I liked
I am writing this on behalf of my 96 year old father who recently spent 4 weeks in Fanshawe Ward.
Spotlessly clean and attractive surroundings. The staff could not have been more kind and helpful. We were kept informed at every step of father's treatment and our concerns were always addressed both professionally and and personally. We had the impression that both father, as the patient, and we, as his children, were important to everyone we met.
Father came out of hospital in a much better state than he went in, which is a huge credit to the staff who cared for him. The whole atmosphere of the ward was one of professionalism, caring and good humour.
What could be improved
After experience of several hospitals in the past few years I think that this is as good as it gets. I really can't think of much that could be improved. Satellite television and waiter service maybe. I am joking!
Anything else?
Just a huge 'thank you' to everyone involved in father's care and treatment.
"If you have to be in hospital, just hope..."
