About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill)

Thank you for listening.

Same-sex accommodation is a moral pre-requisite; mixed, an abomination.

Some staff very pleasant; others, walking misery.

Very good to see a ship in the Reception Area, but a branded outlet has no place; it should be run byand on behalf-of Volunteers, as at Orpington Hospital, which is a model: no miserable music on a commercial radio station, a in Costa's, in the the Hospital's Main Reception Area, ( do you have a Commercial Broadcast Licence ? ); at Orpington Hospital, it's comfortably reminiscent of a reassuring home: mismatch cups and saucers; normaly-clothed Servers, (unbranded products, and do unbranded, uniformed people). Since the No Smoking Rule is uninforced, the wheelchairs the smokers,( which includes the Staff), leave in the rain, should not be the same ones provided for the patients who want to be well. The Swing Doors leading into Phlebotomy are a great danger; short children peering through the lowest square glass panes, and those dawdling behind them, are particularly at risk when they are quickly pushed open: neither do they 'Push' written, either side, which leads to further lingering, which increases the danger, and creates annoyance, from those who have somehow assumed they know which way, without before having used them. It's quite impossible for the flagstones behind the Main Doors in South Wing to be kept permanently clean or slip free, due to the heavy footfall they received, and the material from which they're made: the floor-rug between the two-sets if Automatic Doors should be lengthened in an attempt to prevent both these phenomenons.Thank you for listening.

Thank you for your wide ranging comments about King's.

I will certainly pass on your comments about facilities such as doors to phlebotomy, the flagstones etc to our facilities team as it is important that they understand the potential problems you have raised. In terms of commercial outlets such as Costa, you will find this is very common in the NHS. However, as well as the commercial outlets, we do still have other catering outlets at our sites and the Friend's trolleys etc.

Thank you again for raising these important issues.
