"Could be so much better"

About: Dr Hutchings & Partners

Considering how few patients are actually registered, time management appears to be a major issue. Unless you are seeing a nurse (a wonderful experience), you are simply a number. The doctors genuinely don't care. If you can get an appointment, without it being and emergency or walk in one, it's a miracle and they rarely have any appointments online either. As others have said, unless you're in the 8am queue as one of the first, you can't get an appointment. I'm chronically ill, with more than one chronic illness and often prefer to suffer at home than get an appointment with a doctor. I'm somehow seen as a pain, someone to rush in and out. Sometimes they listen, sometimes you're disbelieved. One doctor in particular, I saw once and will never see again. At this time, I'm on this site searching for a better option because it's ridiculous. They offer great treatments and opening hours, but if you can't get an appointment - or worse, do get one but it's a waste of time, what is the point? One of the things I have wrong with me I've had for 34 years, as it's a relatively rare condition, GP's aren't taught the depth of the illness. However, if I go in and say exactly what I need, I seem to be seen as some kind of drug addict! I really despair that it's at the point I'd rather be in a ward at the BRI than go to this surgery, despite hating hospital time anyway.

We are sorry that you are dissatisfied with the service we have provided and would like to thank you for alerting us to the error on the NHS Choices website in regards to our registered patient list which we will take up with the NHS Choices team who controls this information.

If you would like to come in and discuss the concerns you have raised in your feedback we would be more than happy to meet with you to try and resolve these issues. Unfortunately your feedback is anonymous so we are unable to respond directly back to you.

We do have a complaints procedure whereby any complaint will be fully investigated and you will receive a report on the investigation. If this is something that you would like to do, just phone in and ask the receptionist or Office Manager for the complaints procedure and they will be more than happy to explain this to you.
