What I liked
I was in for a broken foot, and the follow-up care i received from the nurse in the plaster unit was amazing - he couldnt have been kinder and more helpful towards me. The reception staff in the minor injuries were - for the most part - wonderful too.
What could be improved
I was treated appalling (twice) by the consultant on duty. The first time i saw him was following the break - he didnt even tell me which bone i had broken, the process for treatment or asked how i was feeling. When i went back for a check up, he didnt even look at the foot - told me he could tell it had healed (even though i was sitting down and he had no way of knowing). Again, didnt ask how i was feeling or the process for rehab on the foot. As a result i have had a number of problems which i have had to go to my GP for - a waste of my time and NHS resources.
I would have loved to have made a formal complaint but the process was impossible to understand!
