"Ultrasound"

About: NHS Tayside / East Scotland Breast Screening Centre

(as the patient),

Was referred for an ultrasound by my GP. As soon as I walked into the clinic I was made to feel welcome by lovely receptionist who asked me to take seat in the nice waiting room which has pink seats and nice photos on the wall. There is a coffee machine, and a TV and the radio was on too for a relaxing atmosphere. I thought it might be a depressing place to go but all the staff who walked by smiled over at me. I went through to see a lovely surgeon (her name escapes me). She was so lovely and amazing and put me at ease right away. Thankfully there was nothing wrong with me, and we were able to have a good laugh about her drawing of my breasts! I left in good spirits. The radiographers were also amazing and chatted to me throughout the scan. These people are worth their weight in gold and we don't appreciate them until we use them. Thank you so much for making a terrifying experience a bit more bearable. x

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience via Care Opinion. The staff all try very hard to create a welcoming atmosphere in the clinic and will be pleased to know this has been appreciated. It is always nice for staff to receive good feedback and I will ensure your comments are shared with them.

Kind regards.

Debbie Archibald

Breast Screening Services Manager
