"Took such good care of me"

About: Derriford Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had to under go Intravenous Dihydroergotamine (IV DHE) which is a treatment the nurses had never seen. They went off to read all about it, asked my lots of questions and gained knowledge, confidence, understanding and empathy. They took such good care of me. They were run off their feet as there is not nearly enough of them. One nurse does the job of at least 2! They never once took a break and did not get lunch breaks but did a straight hour shift. That's not the way to treat such caring dedicated staff. ALL the staff gave 150% and deserve much more support from leaders. I will never forget what they gave so my experience over 5 days was better than it could be. They are angels! Thank you.
