"Good care for heart attack"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Accident & Emergency University Hospital Ayr / Cardiology

(as a service user),

In November I arrived at A&E with chest pains and feeling unwell.

Within 15 Minutes I was taken to treatment room, attended by nurse Michelle, nurse Heather and Dr O'Reilly and after a short time was diagnosed with a mild heart attack. Then admitted to assessment unit where all the staff were attentive, professional and caring.

The next day I was transferred to the Cardiology Dept for 3 days where I received care, attention and medical assistance from Doctors,Nurses, and at the Scan unit and treadmill unit ..and all staff made me feel at ease .

A big thank you.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.
