About: Lawson Road Surgery

I visited this surgery today 28/12/2017 with my daughter so she could book her sons 2nd immunisations. I am not a patient here but she is as she lives locally.

The surgery door had a sign on it saying that access was only through the dispensary door (slightly to the right).

My daughter had a large pushchair with her and there was a person (I’m not allowed to mention gender or identifying details) stacking the shelves in font of entrance. The ‘person’ had to move to allow us into the dispensary but when we left the ‘person’ would not move until my daughter asked politely. The ‘person’, being a member of staff could have opened the door as a helpful gesture to a young mum with a baby in pushchair but she just stared at my daughter and reluctantly moved whilst I moved forward and opened the door.

We were saddened that a member of staff in a dispensary could be so rude given that the ‘person’s role is with members of the public.

My daughter moved to chemist across the road some time ago because of the unhelpful and embarrassing treatment by staff at this dispensary. It was interesting to see today how right she was.
