Re: A&E visit on Tue 8 February @ approx 11.30pm. Verbal abuse/unacceptable behaviour should apply to both patients and staff. I was verbally abused, humiliated and threatened by a staff member because I had the audacity to ask for help for my son whom was falling in and out of consciousness in the waiting area. He had suffered a head injury and I was naturally in a state of panic - I at no time raised my voice, swore or was abusive in any way and the response I received from the most unhelpful, uncaring, nonchalant staff was disgusting, unprofessional and quite frankly unacceptable. I unfortunately left the hospital a few hours later without acquiring this particular staff member's name. (Although I am more than willing to return to A&E and request their name should you not be able to identify them) - This particular staff member is in dire need of further training as their interpersonal skills are non-existent. I would also like to point out that every other person in the waiting room was as shocked as I as they pointed their finger in my face whilst informing me that they were going to have me removed from the premises - for being rude ! Please let me know if you require me to provide a name? I am still appalled at their reaction to my plead for assistance and I am not prepared to let this matter go without an apology and some assurance that further training will be provided for them.Head injuriesAggressiveApatheticConductOpening hoursWaiting AreasRude
