My appointment for the MRI went smoothly enough. No problems there then

My husband made a complaint to the PALS department about something else and I was impressed that I received a phone call within a couple of days.. The complaint sorted, I asked if there was any news of MRI results and the doctor that I was speaking to said, give me 10 minutes and I will see what I can do for you.

He did call back in 10 minutes and spent a considerable time going through the results with me. He also said that he would contact my doctor, which he did. He sent copies of the scan results, together with his interpretation of the notes to both me and my own doctor.

My doctor said that there was a long delay to see a back consultant and I elected to go private. Broomfield hospital were contacted last week and requested to send a copy of the MRI scan to the Oaks Hospital. My very expensive consultation was yesterday and I discovered that the MRI had not been sent!.

The consultant did the best that he could under the circumstances and asked me to get Broomfield to send it again.

I have recently come off the phone after waiting 30 minutes to be put through to the radiology department. The girl that I spoke to didn't want to send the report to the email address that I was trying to give her. She said it had to go to a central point. I pointed out that the Oaks is a small private hospital and didn't have a central point. I just hope that she has sent it to the address that I gave her, because I don't want to go through that again!!
