"Never again will I go to the Women's!"

About: Liverpool Womens Hospital

What I liked

Nothing at all! I was in for Day Surgery and told to arrive at 11am. I finally got taken through at about 1.15pm...and to my horror there were no beds just horrible chairs which you get dumped in after your surgery/investigation. That is an absolute disgrace. All you want to do is nap after General Anaesthesia at least in comfort in a bed.

One lady who I got talking to had been there from 10.30am in the waiting room. She got taken through at 3pm! Absolutely shocking to leave a lady in her 70's waiting like that...

Staff were awful...They don't read your notes at all. Why have Pre Op assessments when they don't listen to a word you say. i have an allergy to plasters. I had a red wristband to say I have an allergy to a certain plaster. What do they offer? The plaster I'm allergic to duh! They told me I had to do a pregnancy test..Duh once again.. I've had a hysterectomy so why would I need a pregnancy test??...I have a fear of needles and can react badly to anaesthesia. I warned them I could get aggressive afterwards, they thought I was exaggerating until I did kick off after I woke up.

What could be improved

Everything! The staff attitude for one and beds in your Day ward! Oh and being able to read patient notes!

Anything else?

Awful hospital and awful staff. I'm not keen on Fazakerly but it beats The Women's hands down for compassion and attitude.AllergiesGeneral anaestheticSurgeryAttitudeBedsDay SurgeryImmunologyAnaesthesiaHysterectomyAggressive
