Our son was admitted to lark ward in October after suffering with various mental issues. We where met by really friendly staff and the ward was bright and cheerful, with music playing, and a very relaxed atmosphere. We where allowed to visit as much as we wanted and we could also take my sons dog up there, in fact it was encouraged on a daily basis, the staff loved to see her. Every day we where greeted with tea and coffee and kind words, the staff relayed all information to us about how are son was doing and we felt we where allowed to ask freely about anything we where concerned about. We feel that Lark ward where amazing in the recovery of our son. We felt he was safe and cared for. All the staff where wonderful and I know my son and us as a family where truly grateful for everything that lark ward had to offer. We also had the pleasure of meeting the doctor. He was absolutely brilliant with my son, he really cared about him and did everything possible to help with meds and recovery . He explained all our sons treatment every time we had a review and we felt at ease to ask questions.
Going through the mental health system for the very first time was absolutely terrifying to say the least, but once we found lark ward and the doctor our fears and worries diminished .
Thankyou all at Lark ward, you know who we are xxxx
