"Nice hospital"

About: University Hospital Of North Durham

What could be improved

It's disgraceful that the hospital allows smoking right outside the A&E doors despite having notices up that say it is a non-smoking area - not only does the smoke blow into the building, but it is also breathed in by anybody trying to get into the hospital including relatives and other patients. Every time I went outside I had to fight my way through a crowd of them and their second hand smoke. There was no enforcement of the non-smoking policy which the NICE website states. Either enforce the ban or move the smokers well away from the entrance to protect other people's health.WebsiteSmoking Area
