About: James Paget University Hospital

What I liked

On the late evening of 13.2.11 we were informed that an elderly aunt living alone in Bungay had been found in a distressed condition having fallen at home. She had been admitted to the James Paget Hospital Since we live three hours drive away, I telephoned the hospital early the following morning and spoke to the receptionist on the Emergency Admissions ward. She was extremely kind and helpful. She agreed that my wife and I, were we to drive to the hospital immediately, would be allowed to visit the patient outside of normal visiting hours. We duly drove to the hospital and were taken to the patient, who is 92 years old and was thoroughly confused. The ward staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. The ward sister, the receptionist and the ward nurses were a credit to their profession. When we left two hours later, we were content that the old lady was in good hands.AdmissionsVisiting timesEmergencyOpening hoursTelephoneNursing staffReception staff
