What could be improved

As well as being misdiagnosed, which led to me being hospitalised (fortunately not at the L&D) and having to undergo surgery, the consultant took a personal phone call about interior decorating during my consulation, the equipment I was being examined with had to be replaced twice as it didn't work, the prescription I was given was unintelligible to the chemist, and when I phoned to ask about the prescription the receptionist was rude to me even though I was obviously upset.PrescriptionsSurgeryDiagnosisRudeTelephoneConsultantsReception staff

We are sorry to hear of bad experiences at the L&D. In mid-2010 (after this comment was made) we undertook an extensive patient survey in Gastroenterology which gave an overall score of 9.5/10 and a net promoter score of over 77% and recent audits show this trend of improvement continuing.
