Thank you very much for posting your review of the Rugby Urgent Care Centre at the Hospital of St Cross.

I would like to apologise for the experience you and your wife had.

I have sent your feedback to the Modern Matron for Urgent and Emergency Care.

While the nurses who lead the Rugby Urgent Care Centre can treat many minor illnesses and injuries, for more serious conditions, we would always encourage people to travel straight to their nearest A&E.

The Matron has informed me that we would not normally expect or ask relatives to drive patients over to University Hospital if their condition is more serious.

Instead we would arrange ambulances to transfer any patients who are seriously unwell, and I would like to apologise that this was not the case in your experience.

I would also like to apologise for the way that our staff spoke to you, as these are not the standards which we aim to deliver.
