"Keep up the good work ward 17"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / General Surgery (Wards 16-18)

(as a service user),

I was transferred to ward 17 following a gallbladder removal. My stay in ward 17 was made fantastic at a time were I did not feel good .

The staff in ward 17 could not be praised highly enough. A special mention to My named staff nurse for the days I was an inpatient - Kirsty. Her manner was professional and kind at all time . she exceeded herself ensuring that all my care needs were met . What a bubbly personality she had even at 8 in the morning making all the other patients laugh and smile  a true credit to the profession.
Information was given to me by my nurse thoroughly and professionally no question were left unanswered and my mind was left at ease.
A big thank you to all the nursing support assistants for their care and compassion
I believe the NHS is due credit when credit is due and I wanted to let everyone know how fantastic the care I received was . Keep up the good work ward 17

Dear Mcmural,

Many thanks for taking the time post your lovely comments. I am delighted to hear that your experience in ward 17 was so positive and that Kirsty especially made your stay more bearable. I will share your comments with Kirsty and the staff as they will be delighted to know that they made a difference as they take pride in trying to ensure that care is safe and person centred within the ward.

I hope that you are recovering well at home,

Best Wishes

Maureen
