"Appalling as my partner is suffering as..."

What I liked

My partner had a reconstruction operation on his foot before Christmas. He developed an infection. I took him to Saint Charles on Sunday and he was seen by 2 nurses and another lady who we were not sure if she was a doctor or not. She did not identify herself but she prescribed him antibiotics and told him to return 2 days later - Tuesday. When my partner had returned he was told to go to his original hospital which he did 3 days later - Friday. My partner saw the surgeon and another doctor who had seen the antibotics he was prescribed and was told they were not the correct ones and would not have perscribed them for him plus it had not affect on his infection. In fact his infection got worse. He was then prescribed the right one.

The Saint Charles staff who prescribed the tablets should have first off asked him questions about his operation and diagnosed him fully and found out his medical condition and then send him onto the hospital he had the operation which is the UCL Hospital in Euston. If this had happended in the first instance he would not be suffering now and recovering a lot quicker.AntibioticsInfectionsDoctorsNursing staffSurgeons
