"This programme has the potential to change lives"

About: Inclusion Recovery Hampshire

(as a service user),

I started using the service when I was quite young, about 19/20 years old. It was my mum who got me into using the service, back then I Didn’t really know what it was all about, and I found it difficult to interact with people. Over the years I have drawn on what Inclusion has to offer, and I found the support from the staff and other service users to have made a real difference. I think that for people who don’t have any family who care about them, and where to live and struggling just to get from day to day, Georges really does mage a huge impact on their life. You can come into the hub and talk to people who do care, there’s lots of different groups and activities that can give a positive structure to your day. Different organisations’ staff can link you up with people to help you with housing etc. If you literally have no food to eat the staff even help you with shopping to take home.

The methadone programme that Inclusion offers has the potential to change lives. By being able to have my methadone script daily it enables people to live a normal life away from the troubles of chasing money / doing crime for money for drugs. This service is a God send and I don’t know where I’d be without it.
