I have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis since 2008. Until recently I have been taking 6 x 2.5mg of Methotrexate once a week. In December i had my once-per-year meeting with a consultant who suggested reducing the dose to 5 x 2.5mg.
Since reducing the dosage I have been experiencing much more RA-related pain. I think I need to speak to my consultant again and I think I need him to reconsider the reduction in dosage; but i have been given no means of easily accessing him, of talking to him, of asking his advice. I would have expected that he would have wished to follow-up the consequences of a dosage reduction but I am not scheduled to see him again until next December.
Incidentally, I thought I was supposed to be seen by my consultant more than once a year and I also thought i was supposed to have a personal care plan - which i don't.
