"They made me feel more relaxed"

I would like to state that the service received from the Colorectal Nursing Team at Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy was absolutely superb.

I had major stomach surgery and subsequently had a colostomy. The way the nurses taught me to cope with this change was fantastic. They made me feel more relaxed about dealing with the issues surrounding this procedure and they did so in a sympathetic way but also with a sense of humour. They were always there to allay any concerns that I had.

They may not have had the high profile that some of the other practitioners dealing with my medical situation but in my opinion had the biggest impact towards my recovery.
