"Very disappointing!"

I find it so difficult to get through to reception ,recently I just wanted to know if I would still be getting a triage phone call as it was 5pm,( I had rung to see a dr at 10.30 that morning )and was told triage would ring me back.When I rang at 5pm I was 11 on the list just to talk to somebody.It took nearly 40 mins of holding on was stuck at no 4 for 15 mins.!

I can never get an appointment we are suppose to be able to book online but today is 12th March and there are no appointments at all -it ends end of April.

I. Find the staff and Drs very good when you can talk or see anybody,I have no complaints about my care.Just the terrible organisation of the practice.I have been with this practice over 40 years but I am thinking of changing.

The Partners at Ash Grove Surgery note the problems that you have been having.

Unfortunately demand continues to outstrip capacity, we have also lost several doctors recently due to retirement and like many other areas of the country have been having difficulty recruiting new doctors.

We operate a triage service to try to prioritise appointments so that patients problems are dealt with appropriately, this is why we ask you to give brief details of what your problem is to enable us to do this.

We understand that there are some issues which patients may find embarrassing to discuss with a non medical member of the team, we understand this and are happy under these circumstances for you to say that this is a personal problem which you prefer not to discuss over the phone.

It is difficult to respond specifically to an anonymous posting if you have any further problems we would ask you to write to the Practice Manager outlining the nature of your problem, this will be assessed by one of the Partners and you will receive a response from them.
