Thank you very much for taking the time to comment on our services and we are sorry that your experience wasn’t a good one on this occasion. We are currently carrying out a refurbishment of the Eye Hospital and so overcrowding will reduce as the refurbished areas are opened. Unfortunately though, given the high levels of demand for the service, the Eye hospital will some days be busier than others (and will sometimes be very busy indeed). We do carry out regular cleanliness audits and have just been rated 96%-97% on these. Perhaps, as there was building work going on during your visit there was a little dust infiltration, but I can assure that this would have been dealt with promptly. Your experience of staff being rude isn’t acceptable and we apologise for this.
