"MRI @ QMC Nottingham"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

I gratefully attended the QMC recently for an MRI examination. The receptionist and nurses were constantly chatting among themselves on reception only briefly stopping eventually to take your name. Not exactly a friendly or professional greeting.

When you go into the outside scanner it was off putting that whilst you are in the scanner the next patient is waiting in the next room being able to see your scan images as I could see the previous patient's. Where is the patient confidentiality? I was not 'allowed' to even see an image from my own scan but could see another patient’s images as they could see mine. Plus you can see the patient through the window. The radiographer didn't say when they were moving the bed just as you are relaxed. No communication at all during scan.

Not taken/shown out of the scanner area and back to reception. Still grateful though.
