Mum was taken to the ED Department at Ayr Hospital, due to heavy bleeding on her stomach. The Ambulance Crew were brilliant, keeping mum calm and caring for her. My 12 year old daughter was there too, they ensured she was safe and reassured her. In ED, she was cared for by Staff Nurse Howie (sorry we forgot first name) and Staff Nurse Heather. Both nurses were caring, professional and full of reassurance. She was seen by Dr. Smith, I cannot find words good enough to describe his standard of care. Not only did he find a solution to the problem, but he explained everything fully, put her at ease during treatment and detailed what she was required to do once discharged. He checked her understanding and took time to listen and answer her questions. Where would we be without the NHS. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
