"Very unprofessional antenatal booking..."

About: St Mary's Hospital (HQ) (London)

What could be improved

Employees of antenatal booking service don´t act professional.

Anything else?

It is impossible to speak to anyone who can listen and hear you at antenatal booking service in maternity clinic. They just pass the phone without saying anything to the person who they speak and you find yourself speaking to another person and repeating same things many times. I have been treated with no respect.

I had missed my duo scan +blood test due to private reasons and I had already my 20th week. I need to do a quadruple test as soon as possible and it was impossible to book appointment for at least 2-3 weeks. I tried to explain my exceptional situation and that I was out of my schedule with my scans and need to do blood and date scan. However nobody had the professional attitude to explain me anything instead of being very rude and telling me to wait another 2-3 weeks for an appointment in their clinic. .

Instead of being collaborative, responsible, understanding, professional and problem solver I have been depressed and demoralized on the phone. From now I don´t even know to how many people I spoke as they don´t introduce themselves properly, pass to phone to eachother without letting you know and they don’t answer your question in a kind way as they should. I am totally disappointed with this booking service. However I had my booking from another NHS hospital the same day and witnessed the difference of good service, reliability, being able to take initiative in exceptional cases by professional personnel.
