(as the patient),

I suffered a heart attack in June. I was taken to Hairmyres and received stents an transferred to Ayr where the care was outstanding. I received more stents in September and was referred to the cardiac rehab programme where Lindsay, Sheena, Maureen and Laura provided excellent person centred care. The other team members also deserve credit as do those who lectured on emotion, mental well-being, and diet.

I wish to thank my consultant Dr McGowan, all the staff in the coronary care unit at Ayr and Hairmyres Mr McGeoch at Hairmyres and all those whom I have failed to recall their names.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.
