Appointments are always hours overdue, I'm 16 (it was my birthday yesterday!) and I don't really think there's much for kids my age to do.

All I really want is a faster service so I can get out of hospital, it's not about more to do, it's just about getting out of here faster.

I see the endorcrine, neuroogy and radiology department, they're all good - the eye specialists are amazing.

I had major surgery a month ago in the children's ICU and high dependancy ward. They were really good, I loved one of the nurses on was 78, she was lovely and kind. She always always had a smile on her face. Christies ward is excelent too. They have widescreen TVs, games mahcines, a music room, a masseuse. It's brill.

The car parking here is £15 a day, which is a lot and most of the time it would only cost us 2 hours parking if my appointment was on time, it's the hospital's fault we're delayed and then have to pay so much.

We're delighted that you had a great experience on ICU and that the nurses were so kind to you!

We are currently working with the play therapist in Outpatients to try and provide more activities for teenagers as we are aware that at the moment we could do better in this area.

Regarding the car parking. It does cost £15 if you stay over 6 hours. But, if your stay is over 6 hours because you've attended an outpatient appointment then you will only be charged at a rate of £5 if you speak to the car park security person.

We do our best to make waiting times as short as possible for you and we are really sorry if you aren't happy with this part of our service. Sometimes the clinics do run late but we do our best to keep you informed of any unusual delays.
