"The doctors and nurses don't order you to do stuff, they are nice"

About: Royal Manchester Children's Hospital

(as the patient),

I'm 9 years old and I have to come to the hospital because I keep fainting and feeling dizzy. I come and sit with the playworker when he's here. He's got christmassy stuff this time so I can colour and make stuff. If he isn't here it's boring sitting down for a long time like mum does. It's a bit scary coming here because I havn't been here much before but it's ok.

The doctors and nurses don't order you to do stuff, they are nice. They talk to me and explain things to me so I understand, but I still don't know exactly what's wrong with me.

Thank you for your comments.

It's great that you enjoy spending time with the play worker. We try to provide other entertainment for young people because we know that he can't be there all the time. If you have any suggestions for toys to make it less boring for you to wait then please post back on here and I will take your suggestions to the play worker.

It's also really good to hear that the doctors and nurses talk to you and take time to explain things to you, and hopefully they can answer any questions you have about your illness.

Thanks again.
