"A major credit to QEUH"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / General surgery (Wards 9a, 9b, 9c & 9d)

(as the patient),

I was im to get hernia repaired and gallbladder removed, after going in keyhole the surgeon decided the procedure was technically challenging, with dense adhesions throughout. It was deemed unsafe to continue, I was returned to the ward. I am so grateful to the nurses, from the minute I went in I was made feel at ease, Sandra in the same day admissions was brilliant, I was then met with a lovely theatre nurse (sorry can't remember her name) this lady was great and we had a laugh, then into get anaesthetic, now this man is unbelievable, he did me the last time too, his name is John, honestly I didn't feel a thing, they always have problems finding my veins, but before I could say anything John had me sorted, he is a great person and fully committed to his job, off I went to sleep, the surgery was performed in my eyes with the best surgeon ever, Mr Alani, this man explains everything before and after operation, Mr Alani you're a great surgeon and person and will never be able to thank him enough, then I was off to ward 6 and again the nurses would do anything for you, these ladies are not just nurses they go above and beyond, honestly all the people I dealt with yesterday you are a great bunch and a major credit to the queen Elizabeth hospital, thank you

Dear Belly Man

Thank you for providing such positive feedback about the staff in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

It is lovely to read how much of a positive impact every member of staff had on you.

The staff will be delighted to read your feedback and I will make sure that we share this with the ward team and Mr Alani.

I wish you well with your recovery.

Best wishes

Nicole
