I had a laparoscopy operation on the 09th of November and I would like to applause to the nurses who looked after me. Before the operation I have met with a very caring team of male nurses who rolled me into theater. They made sure I am not panicking by talking to me, explaining what is happening next and they handled brilliantly my distress.
After the operation I was enrolled to be looked after by Sheldon, who introduced himself politely and from then on he looked after me very well. He was very caring, helpful, understanding but firm when it was in my best interest. He came to see me frequently as he picked up on that I was suffering more from the anesthetic, than the usual patient. He helped me to walk to the toilet offering his arm to grab on and encouraged me to keep trying to stand up and walk so I can make a quicker recovery.
I also remember Kate, who rushed to my help with other nurses, when I got too dizzy on the toilet and I had to pull the emergency button. As I was very dizzy all day, I couldn't leave the ward until after 8: 00 p. m. I have met some of nurses from the night shift and I remember a young lady with a slight Spanish accent who was particularly kind to me.
I was very impressed by the quality of the service I have received that day from the ward nurses. Especially Sheldon dedicated work amazed me. He has put lots of effort into providing top quality care. I'd like to congratulate and thank the ward for all the care I have received that day. They have made my experience the best possible. Thank you very much!
