I was taken to A&E on Wednesday night 15th November from VCH Walk-In Centre. Although the A&E department was extremely busy, the attention I received was absolutely amazing and I was reassured at every step of the way. Because of the shortage of beds I stayed in Majors for about 15 hours but I want to stress the professional attitude of everyone on the department I came into contact with. At about 4pm the following day I was taken to Ward 32 where again the care and attention shown to me was incredible. This in spite of a constant turnaround in patients. By early morning on Thursday I had been given blood tests, ECG and Heart Scans not to mention constant BP and other checks. The cheerful and caring attitude of every one on this ward was amazing and I cannot praise them highly enough. To single out anyone would not really be fair but, having said that, I would like to mention a member of staff from Chester University who was really lovely. In conversation they said that they just wanted to be of help to people. I hope that their determination will be rewarded in her future career.
I will be coming back to the hospital in about 5/6 weeks for some further treatment. Please pass on my thanks to everyone I came into contact with. The work they do is amazing!!!!!
With many thanks, Peter Fogg
