"Bostonian wing"

About: Pilgrim Hospital

Attended for my first ever visit , arrived 10 minutes before my appointment at 9 am the other day. was bemused to read a notice stating the amount of people who had not attended appointments and how much it costs the NHS etc etc

I was finally seen at 9.20, to be told sorry for running late??! I was the first in the appointment room, so why were they running late?

I finally leave, quite happily at 10.12, but was charged £3.40 to park, as I had gone over the hour, and into the next charge tariff.

If the hospital had been more efficient, this would not have happened, slightly miffed

We would like to offer our sincere apologies that you were delayed in your appointment and due to this was charged for parking. Unfortunately the consultant was called away before the clinic start time to treat an emergency patient which led to the clinic starting late.

I have spoken to the nurse involved and they were unaware that we could offer a slip to reduce the amount payable on the car parking so we have introduced this from today which will benefit future patients.

As we are not given names, details on care opinion. If you want to discuss your experience further could you please contact Deputy sister Kay Steer on 01205 446393 who will be able to assist you further

Kindest Regards
