"Excellent care in medical day case ward at RIE"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Xrays and scans

(as a relative),

My mum was admitted to the medical day case ward for an Angiogram. She was quite anxious and worried about the procedure but everyone we came into contact with were excellent. The reception staff were happy and welcoming and then through to the ward where Claire and Abby the staff nurses were fantastic They looked after my mum with a reassuring, calm, happy and professional manner and Emily explained the procedure to my mum, dad and myself. The HCSW supplied my mum with fresh water and cups of coffee as she required again in a lovely friendly manner.

I have worked in nursing for 32 years and my mum is a retired nurse, we both felt that the nursing care she received was fantastic. Thank you

Dear ando

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding your mum's recent angiogram. I was so pleased to read how the staff cared for her during her procedure, especially Claire and Abby and the rest of the ward team. I can imagine what an anxious time this must have been for your mum and the rest of your family.

I have shared your lovely feedback with the team at the Royal Infirmary, who I am sure will be delighted with your feedback, especially Claire and Abby. I do hope your mum is recovering well from her procedure and thank you again for sharing your feedback with us.

Kind regards

Jeannette
