My wife had an appointment at the fracture clinic on Friday at 09:30, we arrived 15 mins early and registered with reception and were told to sit in the main waiting area. Peoples names were being called out and by 11:30 the crowd in waiting area had thinned out considerably but we were still sat there!
My wife asked the receptionist when we were likely to be seen and they sent us down to the waiting area by the Orthopaedic office, this waiting area was empty so we enquired at the office to see what was happening.
Our appearance seemed to galvanise them into action and we were quickly sent off to the XRay department.
I ask myself, if had we not enquired at the desk would we have still been sat there.
One thing that really disappointed me was that none of the staff had the common courtesy to say sorry for the delay in seeing my wife.
We have another appointment in the same department in a months time, lets see what happens this time but I'm not optimistic.
