About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital

What I liked

The staff at haemotology were lovely, very understanding and compatent

What could be improved

The behavour and attitude of consultant was distressing and totally unhelpful. I left feeling humiliated and with a prescription for a dangerous drug without full information. The screenig tests required for this were carried out after the consultation and so results were not available prior to my taking of this medication.

I was so upset after the consultantion that I spent most of the following days in tears.

I contacted my GP as soon as possible, who instructed me not to take the medication prescribed until the tests results had been recieved and approved.

Three weeks have lapsed since this incident and still no test results, so I'm left in pain and trumertised by the experience. With the support of my GP I am now awaiting an appointment with another consultant in another hospitial.
