"this surgery is not suitable for deaf people"

About: Alma Road Surgery

I have tried to get an appointment for several weeks online. I am deaf and a full time carer. I need a nine o'clock appointment. Surely these should be online for everyone to book. I was disappointed at lack of deaf awareness. The doctors speak the name of the patient from their office - sound does not travel round walls. I think it is disrespectful. The doctor should walk to the area where people are waiting. I also need to see a doctor whose speech I will be able to lipread. I cannot differentiate sounds noise. when there is background noise. I have unable to find a deaf aware surgery. Since 1 in 7 people have a hearing loss - I think the needs of deaf people should be addressed.
