"A warm welcome for a whitecoat-phobic!"

About: Milestone Surgery

This surgery has changed my life.

I used to have panic attacks about the thought of attending a Doctor's Surgery, Being morbidly obese for all my life, I was scared that, no matter what the ailment was, my weight would be to blame.

Well, Milestone has the perfect balance of support, care and medical advice.

The Doctors, Nurses, HCAs and now physico are excellent practitioners who understand that life is not always black and white and that people have baggage which taints their responses to medical situation.

A good listening ear, and a list-system (so you see your own NAMED GP) means you can build a trusting rapport and have someone who knows the whole-you not just what they quickly read in notes prior to a consultation. My GP often runs late!

This is a positive not a negative as people are given the time they need for the duration of an appointment, not a prescribed 10 minutes.

This, I believe, leads to less visits as those made are of greater quality. The introduction of the physio clinic is inspirational and so sensible in the use of resources.

Good Morning.

Firstly I am sorry that this reply seems to have taken so long.

I am not sure just what happened, but we did respond to your comments within a day or so of your posting as it is very kind of you to take the time to point out how Milestone Surgery has helped you.

Thank you very much indeed for your positive comments and feed back about the Surgery and its staff. We certainly try our best to help all our patients who suffer from a wide range of medical problems. Time and experience has shown that a personalised patient list certainly helps to achieve a better rapport between the doctor and the patient and their family and we are always trying to improve this by adding new services and facilities.

Recently we have introduced the new physiotherapy assessment clinics, and we are trying a system whereby we triage patients allowing quicker access to their GP.

In addition to these, we also have put in place a new home visiting service for those patients who are housebound and unable to get to the surgery.

Thank you again for your comments and support - they are very welcome.
