I can never get an appoiment, when I do I'm fobbed off with a lame reason for illness or tablets I don't need. This doctors is clearly very understaffed and under pressure. I have moved a few times around norwich and I have never had as poor service as this. I called for an appointment this morning (8:07 waiting 12 minutes to be answered) my son and I have to wait til 2:30 for a phone call because of the triage system... if I didn't need him to be seen I would have looked up the problem and self medicated myself. I'm now looking for another surgery even though this one is one road away from me.....

I am sorry that you feel let down by the Practice.

Due to patient demand we have a triage system in place where the GP will call you back to discuss your problem (usually within the same morning / afternoon or guaranteed within 24 hours) and during that call can either resolve the problem through medication / exercise or will book you an appointment (same day or at a time of your choosing) to have a face to face consultation. This process enables us to be able to offer appointments to all patients who need them within 24 / 48 hours as opposed to the 2-6 week wait of some neighbouring practices.

We realise this appointment system is relatively new to Norwich although many practices across the country successfully employ its approach to manage increasing patient demand.
