"receptionists"

About: Barrow Health Centre

i rarely use the health centre, but when I do it is because I have a genuine reason, I am not here to waste anyone's time. so why does the place make me feel like I am an inconvenience to them. the attitude of the receptionists are rude and invasive, maybe when a patient rings up and they are for the date of birth to clarify who you are, the system could say how many times the patient calls or makes an appointment. there are too many people who abuse the system and this would be a way of treating people correctly and with respect. maybe there could have a system in place that working people get priority and people who don't go in later in the day

We are very sorry to hear you are not happy with the service.

The receptionists ask for you to give a brief reason for your visit so you can be signposted to the best available clinician, our prescribing nurses can deal with most minor illness ailments however if you are signposted to a nurse and they feel you need to be seen by a GP you will seen on the same day.

We do try to accommodate all of our patient's requirements where possible.

We welcome you to visit the surgery or discuss over the telephone with the Practice Manager your concerns.

Please ring 01509 274430 choosing option 6 and we will be happy to arrange this for you.
