"Overall excellent"

About: Frenchay Hospital

What I liked

Attended for achillies tendon rupture. All the orthopaedic staff were very helpful including docs, nurses and plaster room technicians. I was seen to very promptly, my problems were taken seriously and acted upon very quickly. All the staff were very professional and helpful. The service is better than any past private hospital I have been to in terms of speed of appointments and decision to go to theater. The orthopaedic ward was clean and staff curteous.

What could be improved

My only critism is the delay in communication out of hospital e.g letters to GPs and discharge summaries to myself. Especially as I needed some ongoing medications to be prescribed by my GP soon after discharge.

Anything else?

Overall excellent medical/surgical service provided. Just some areas of improvements in tertiary-primary care communication would be better.
