What I liked

I have been in and out of hospital recently, and being so disappointed with the service provided at the NGMH- I was also worried I would experience unsatisfactory service and experience at Fairfield.

But how wrong was I.

I found staff to be friendly and helpful, they were polite and I noted how clean my room was and the overall ward.

One staff member in particular was very understanding, friendly and helped make my stay more comfortable. I felt she went the extra mile, and is an asset the Hospital cannot afford to lose.

What could be improved

I would only comment on pre-op providing better information on breast feeding mums who have surgery. This did cause problems for me and my child as I could not breast feed until 24 hours after my surgery_ which I was not advised even though I had asked the question.
