"Absolutely brilliant! Clean and caring....."

What I liked

I had an ACL reconstruction on my knee at the beginning of November and was rather nervous as a friend in another hospital had suffered a PE and ended up on life support after the same OP.

The GWH is just wonderful!! I really could not have been treated better or more kindly. There was a full check done before hand in relation to risk of PE and all precautions to prevent it were implemented until I left. The staff were just brilliant so kind and patient, never once did I feel that I was too much trouble or "just another number". They didn't let me leave until they were completely happy and it gave me a chance to make sure I could cope with 2 kids and 3 dogs when I got home.

The operation it's self has worked wonders, I was off the crutches 2 days after leaving hospital and I'm now doing weekly physio, no limp, full mobility and the scar has healed wonderfully.

If you're at all considering this hospital I really can't recommend it enough, from the consultants to the cleaners and all the exceptionally lovely people in between they really are great.

I've waded through the rather confusing issue of being able to leave this review as I think it's very important that the staff are recognised for the fantastic work they do and that others know what a fantastic Hospital this is...... I can only speak of the Orthopaedic department of course.
