"Poor service from the doctor"

About: Queens Bower Surgery

Before I start this review I need to praise the nurses and receptionist they are always polite and Helpful they are a credit to any team they work in. The surgery is a cold and depressing looking place it looks run down and drab. The doctor has no knowledge or idea on how to work with patients I think the doctor needs to read up on the meaning of the word empathy. I went to see the doctor as I had concerns about my ankle it was beginning to cause me issues, I have had an eating disorder since I was 14 years old I am now 51. I am aware of the effects that this has had on my body and the possible long term effects. I enquired if the pains in my ankle was A possibility of my self abuse. The doctor did not appear bothered in my ankle the doctor just said stop being sick, I explained that I do not do this out of choice and I do have periods where I do not vomit, I explained that I have had treatment many years ago which was a help but when I am stressed I have at times induced vomiting. Again this doctor's advice was to stop vomiting. I walked out of their office feeling like an idiot. I am aware that I have done a considerable amount of damage to my body all I needed was to be assured that the pains may be none related to my Belima. If I need to see a doctor now I will ask if there is another doctor practicing. The only reason I do not change practice is that the nurse I have to see for smears treats me with the highest respect and kindness.
