What I liked
The thoughtful care I received during my stay on A1
Anything else?
I was admitted to the Emergency Assessment unit following a GP referral.
The care I received from the majority nursing staff I was in contact with for the 2 days I was on the unit waiting for a bed can only be described as appalling
Whilst I can appreciate this is a busy ward, the lack of communication across the all areas was a definite factor to the poor care and incompetency I found during my stay .
There was a catalogue of incidents which gave me little confidence in my treatment, and left me frightened at a time when I was feeling very unwell and vulnerable .
Just to be kept a little informed on what was happening would have made a great deal of difference.Instead I was left feeling like an inconvenience at best , and invisible at worse.
My concern now is the thought that myself or any members of my family may ever have to be admitted to your hospital ,A worrying prospect.
"Sadly disappointing and frightening..."
