"Waiting time 3hours plus!"

About: Central Middlesex Hospital / Endocrinology

I see my Endocrinologist every 4- 6 weeks as mu case is quite complex. Upon seeing the Endocrinologist an appointment is booked with them for next time. When I arrive however even though I have an appointment I am told to I have to wait to see whoever is available. I am kept waiting for 3 hours after my appointment time! The nurse and the receptionist have little or no communication and the nurse never seems to know when a patient has arrived. I am a teacher and cannot afford to take so much time off. I book in at a particular time so that I can return back to work after lunch. I am consistently having to call work and they are then left with no one to cover my class. It is riddiculous and has happened at almost every appointment!

I was saddened to learn of your experience and apologise for the poor level of service you have been receiving and I have shared your comments with the General Manager for the service.

However, please contact our PALS team by telephone on 0208 869 5118 or by email at LNWH-tr.PALS@nhs.net and we will be able to investigate this further.

Kind regards

Pam
