What I liked
I had an appointment for dental surgery at the end of sept in main theatre admissions luckily my husband was allowed to stay with me but after 5.5hours of waiting the procdure was cancelled. Afurther appointment was given about 2 weeks later this time in the day surgery unit. I asked that my husband be allowed to stay with me as i was very nervous and if I had to wait any length of time before going to theatre it would make me even more anxious and cause him unessesary worry. He was eventually allowed to be with me after cosiderable argumentation. The surgeon did a good job this could not be said about the anaesthtist. Apparently the one doing my intravenous sedation was being supervised this was not told to me in advance and my permission not given As she wasbeing supervised this leads me to believe she was training in which case permission must be sought. This anaesthtist left me with alarge haematoma and very bad bruising th senior anaeasthtist who I thought was doing the sedation was shocked and unreservedly apologised
"I would not accept treatment at this..."
